The department has approximately 250 administrative & classified employees and hosts over 600,000 spectators annually and represents the University of Oregon in athletic competition with other universities & colleges.
The position of Creative Director for Track and Field will be responsible for several crucial aspects to sustaining the success of the University of Oregon’s men’s & women’s track and field program.
Responsible for coordinating, creating, implementing and maintain graphic elements and video production though numerous social media platforms required for track and field recruiting in conjunction with the department’s communications, marketing and compliance offices. Develop, implement, analyze, and improve student-athlete development program to assist track and field student-athletes both on and off the track. Monitor academic progress, tutor reports, and participate in class checking. Work directly with Academic Advisors and Learning Specialists. Work directly with media and marketing office on social media and marketing campaigns to enhance the track and field program and assist with recruiting efforts. Create innovative methods within social media platforms to aid in recruiting (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, etc.). Manage and implement all aspects of on-campus recruitment efforts for prospective student-athletes for the track and field program. Responsible for promoting the philosophy and objectives of the intercollegiate athletics program, including adherence to all department policies and procedures, as well as the rules and regulations of the university, Pac-12 conference and the NCAA.
This position will report to the Head Coach Men’s and Women’s Track & Field.
• Bachelor's degree from accredited university.

• Experience with Adobe software programs (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.)
• Understanding of NCAA and Pac-12 rules and regulations.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
• Ability to work on both PC and Mac platforms
• Exceptional ability to work in a networked way, emphasizing collaboration in a complex environment.
• Ability to perform detail-oriented work accurately and to communicate effectively with a diverse population.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills and the ability to multi-task and respond to immediate needs while managing day-to-day activities.
• Two year experience working within intercollegiate athletics
• Experience working with a track and field program at the collegiate level
• Ability to build strong relationships with all constituents
