Position Announcement
The Department of Special Education and Clinical Sciences in the University of Oregon’s College of Education announces the opening of a tenure-line faculty position in our nationally ranked School Psychology program. The position is at the assistant rank, with scholarly expertise in the area of mental health promotion; social emotional learning; and/or developmental psychopathology. We are especially interested in a scholar with a record of extramural funding whose research is complementary to our strengths in prevention and intervention for school-aged children and families. The appointment begins September 16, 2019.

Responsibilities include: conduct an active, externally-funded research program; teach graduate and undergraduate courses; advise and mentor graduate student research; and contribute to university governance in a manner consistent with the needs of a major research university.

Minimum Requirements
• Earned doctoral degree (by time of appointment) in School Psychology or related field
• Record of or potential for strong scholarly productivity
• Record of or potential for external research funding, particularly through federal funding agencies
• Demonstrated capacity or potential to conduct, administer, and sustain a rigorous program of research
• Record of or strong potential for mentorship and/or supervision of student research
• Commitment to equity and inclusion

Preferred Qualifications
• License eligible for school psychology licensure in Oregon
• License eligible for psychology licensure in Oregon
• Demonstrated commitment to enhancing multicultural competencies and promoting equity, inclusiveness, and social justice
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and collegially in department, college, university, and community service and governance
• Ability or potential to engage in interdisciplinary research
