Position Summary

The Lundquist College of Business Sports Product Management program is seeking a Graduate Recruiter to interface with potential students through the selection and admission processes of the program. Under the direction of the Assistant Director of Admissions & Marketing, this position holds the following major responsibilities: develop and generate student leads for the graduate programs in LCB Portland through various venues; face-to-face, phone, online, and on and off-campus events, as well as provide counseling on program attributes.

The Graduate Recruiter will participate in the admission and application process by conducting interviews and reviewing applications and supporting materials while understanding the requirements in order to evaluate all application components to render an admission decision and/or scholarship award. They will monitor application progress from start to completion and assist in identifying and resolving issues; review and evaluate data throughout the admission process to provide weekly, monthly, and yearly reporting; conduct internal meetings with key stakeholders on applicants and applicant pool; coordinate and assist in creating internal and external communications to new student leads, prospective students and admitted students; and resolve problems as needed.

This role is fully remote and open to talent nationwide. Occasional travel will be required to Portland, Oregon to meet with program staff and for program recruiting events as needed (10-25%).

Typical office hours for program staff are 8 am-5 pm (PST); however, depending on the location of the successful candidate, core hours could vary, and are flexible to meet with students when/where they are available. SPM’s online program attracts inquiries nationwide and internationally, and while this recruiter may assist with face-to-face program recruitment as well, a large focus will be on the online program.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's degree.
• Two years of recruitment, admission, or sales experience.

Professional Competencies

• Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to communicate effectively with prospective students from a variety of backgrounds.
• Excellent public speaking and presentation skills.
• Ease in using technology for communication, record keeping, and management of data.
• Demonstrated knowledge of recruitment and admissions at an accredited college or university.
• Knowledge of international student perspectives and needs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience applying marketing/selling techniques and methods.
• Experience designing promotional presentation materials and giving public presentations.
• Experience planning and directing promotion activities.
• Experience creating student admissions activity reports.
• Experience analyzing data to make informed recruitment decisions.
• Experience working in a higher education setting with diverse populations and cultures.
• Expertise with the Microsoft Office suite (i.e., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and CRM systems such as PeopleSoft and Salesforce.
