Position Summary

The Executive Director of Men's Basketball position will be responsible for several crucial aspects of sustaining the success of the Oregon men’s basketball program. Responsible for managing the efficient operation of the men’s basketball program, including academics, athletic performance, video, off-court basketball logistics, budget, youth camps, daily operation of the facility, equipment, student-athlete housing, scheduling, tickets, and travel. This position is also responsible for the oversight of coordinating, creating, implementing, and maintaining graphic elements and video production through numerous social media platforms required for men’s basketball recruiting, in conjunction with the department’s communications, marketing, and compliance offices.

Development and oversight of the Oregon Basketball recruiting program. This includes high school, junior college, and transfer recruiting and is responsible for the overall organization and coordination of recruiting functions within the staff. One important function will be the management of the transfer portal, which due to recent rule changes now allows for immediate eligibility for certain transfers.

This position is responsible for on-campus visits, both official and unofficial, and the many phases of those visits. This includes coordinating logistics, transportation, lodging, and meals as well as the creation of printed visit itineraries and the distribution of the itineraries. This position will also be responsible for the coordination of pass lists and comp ticket lists for admission to on-campus competitions.

This position manages the various academic aspects of recruiting including transcripts, admissions, and meetings with academic personnel. The position will also work closely with the campus to monitor the application status of recruited student-athletes both incoming freshmen and transfer student-athletes. Also, this position will work on initial eligibility and tracking NCAA Clearinghouse status.

This position works closely with the compliance department in the maintenance of the JumpForward portal and the production of paperwork required to stay in NCAA compliance. This position will also track official visits, recruiting days, and recruiting services.

This position also assists in the production of materials to be used for recruiting purposes including work with marketing and graphic design. It will also work with the social media team and department to coordinate the overall recruiting message.

Weekend and evening work hours are required to ensure that all program needs are met.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's degree.
• Three years of Division I or professional basketball experience working as a coach or administrator.
• Administrative experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working for a Power-6 conference men’s basketball program.
• Master’s degree in business or related field.
• Business background.
• Administrative experience in the intercollegiate basketball program.
