Department Summary

The University of Oregon Intercollegiate Athletic Department's primary purpose is to provide a unique opportunity for student-athletes to be developed, tested, and encouraged to reach their maximum potential in every aspect of their lives. The department has approximately 280 administrative & classified employees and hosts over 600,000 spectators annually and represents the University of Oregon in athletic competition with other universities & colleges.

Position Summary

Responsible for providing coaching and administrative assistance to the Head Men's Basketball Coach. Responsible for promoting the philosophy and objectives of the Intercollegiate Athletics Department, including adherence to all department policies and procedures, as well as the rules and regulations of the University of Oregon, Big Ten Conference and the NCAA.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 7 years of collegiate basketball coaching experience in a Division I, Power 5 conference.

• Ability to communicate effectively.
• High motivation with a capacity for hard work within the context of an intensely goal-oriented environment.
• Ability to interact comfortably with those individuals and constituency groups (student-athletes, alumni, coaches, parents, etc.) crucial to the advancement of the University of Oregon Department of Intercollegiate Athletics.
• Candidates with experience serving the needs of diverse populations are strongly desired.
• Knowledge of NCAA rules and interpretations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Division I collegiate basketball playing experience.
• West Coast recruiting experience/contacts.
