Position Summary

The Lundquist College of Business is seeking an Assistant Director of Graduate Admissions to interface with potential students through the selection and admission process of Eugene-based graduate programs (MBA, MAcc, MSM). This position holds the following major responsibilities: develop and generate student leads for the programs through various venues (including face-to-face, phone, online, and on and off-campus events) and provide counseling on program attributes. 

The Assistant Director will participate in the admission and application process by conducting interviews and reviewing application materials. They will have a thorough understanding of the admission requirements in order to render an admission decision and/or scholarship award. This role will have the responsibility to monitor application progress from start to completion and to assist in identifying and resolving issues along the way. They will review and evaluate data throughout the admission process to provide weekly, monthly, and yearly reporting. They will be responsible for conducting meetings with key stakeholders, coordinating and assisting in the creation of communications to new student leads, prospective students, and admitted students, and resolving problems as needed. 

This position reports to the Associate Director of Graduate Admissions and requires occasional domestic and international travel to recruiting events, frequently held evenings and weekends. When not traveling or working events, office hours are 8:00 AM-5:00 PM, Mon-Fri.

Minimum Requirements

​​• Bachelor’s degree or four years of equivalent education and experience. 
• Three years of recruitment, admission or sales experience. ​

Professional Competencies

​​• Ability to communicate effectively with prospective students from a variety of backgrounds. 
• Excellent public speaking and presentation skills. 
• Ability to use technology for communication, record keeping, and management of data. 
• Knowledge of recruitment and admissions at an accredited college or university. 
• Knowledge of international student perspectives and needs.​

Preferred Qualifications

​​• Experience applying marketing/selling techniques and methods. 
• Experience designing promotional presentation materials and giving public presentations. 
• Experience planning and directing promotional activities. 
• Experience creating student admissions activity reports. 
• Experience analyzing data to make informed recruitment decisions. 
• Experience working in a higher education setting with diverse populations and cultures. 
• Experience working in recruitment/admissions at a college or university level. 
• Knowledge and experience with the Microsoft Office suite (i.e., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and CRM systems such as PeopleSoft, and Salesforce.
