Department Summary

Position Summary

The Digital Marketing Assistant position provides support to the UOAA Communications and Engagement teams with programs, services, and communications that reach, serve, and engage alumni. In compliance with brand standards, as set by University Communications, this position supports projects that include, but are not limited to, copywriting for social media and email marketing, coordinating event-related communications like invitations and confirmation emails, web design, and guest registration processes for numerous alumni programs, including chapter and regional alumni events.

The Marketing Assistant will work within the UOAA, a division of University Advancement (UA). This position reports to the Director of Alumni Communications.

This position will be located in Eugene or Portland. It is eligible to work a hybrid schedule, and will need to work on campus approximately 3 days per week.

Minimum Requirements

• Two years of experience gathering information, writing and/or producing materials, and presenting materials
to selected audiences; OR
• A Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communication, or a closely related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience generating marketing and advertising copy.
• Experience writing/designing within established style guidelines.
• Proficiency in html and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Event coordination/marketing experience.
