Position Summary

The Employee Engagement Assistant (assistant) plays a vital role in internal engagement efforts and identifies opportunities to foster an inclusive and welcoming culture for all UA staff. Reporting to the Manager of Employee Development, Engagement, and Belonging for Advancement (manager), the assistant supports key Advancement programs and internal resources within the Employee Engagement team.

The assistant communicates long-term strategies to key partners and leadership, coordinating logistics with student supervisors, and overseeing student recruitment and training provides day-to-day support of the Advancement Student Worker Program. The Advancement Student Worker Program is part of the Employee Engagement team, and provides connection to the organization, a consistent experience for student employees across Advancement, and enrichment opportunities.

This position is located in Eugene and will need to work on campus four to five days per week to provide in-person programmatic support. The schedule may allow for more remote work during summer and term breaks.

Minimum Requirements

• Three years of office experience which included two years at full performance level and experience generating documents; and
• Lead work responsibility or coordination of office procedures.

• Proficient technical and computer skills including with the use of spreadsheets, word processing and presentation software.
• Ability to gain a basic understanding of fundraising and development in higher education.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times, including understanding FERPA and other regulations that guide record keeping, tracking, and interactions with colleagues and students.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity working with learning management systems, website, or office intranet software.
• Two years of relevant project or program management experience in a complex and diverse organization.
