AEC is currently hiring for two different types of interpreter positions-both having similar responsibilities regarding interpreting duties as described below. One position is a Staff Interpreter position, which is a permanent, parttime position (9-month position, 20 hours/week, with flexibility to have additional hours depending on interpreting demand). This position has an hourly rate of $24-$28/hour, comes with full benefits, as well as employee perks such as tuition remission and professional development opportunities. The second type of position is a temporary non-regular position with a pay rate of $45-$60/hour. This position is based on hourly need and non-benefitted. Hourly interpreters must possess the same professional skills and knowledge as staff interpreters and work effectively as a team member. Hourly interpreters are eligible to provide interpreting services in the same settings with a preference for being available for the entire term if assigned a courseload.
