Department Summary

The University of Oregon Intercollegiate Athletic Department's primary purpose is to provide a unique opportunity for student-athletes to be developed, tested, and encouraged to reach their maximum potential in every aspect of their lives. The department has approximately 290 academic & classified employees and hosts over 600,000 spectators annually and represents the University of Oregon in athletic competition with other universities & colleges.

Position Summary

Position is responsible for the management and administration of all phases of the Women’s Volleyball program. Responsible for promoting the philosophy and objectives of the intercollegiate athletics program, including adherence to all department policies and procedures, as well as the rules and regulations of the university, Big Ten Conference and the NCAA. Reports to the Deputy Athletic Director / SWA.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree
• Minimum five years successful NCAA Division I coaching experience
• Proven track record of successful recruitment of elite student-athletes

Professional Competencies

• Excellent written, interpersonal and oral communication skills
• Knowledge of NCAA rules and interpretations
• Must have the ability to work effectively with faculty, staff and students from a variety of diverse backgrounds and a demonstrated dedication to the full academic and social development of student-athletes

Preferred Qualifications

Division I head coaching experience
• Master's Degree 
• Preference will be given to candidates who effectively communicate a plan of action for championship success
• Affiliation with highly successful elite programs
• Proven successful implementation of offensive and/or defensive strategies
• Proven significant skill development of student-athletes both individually and collectively
• Full understanding of providing a quality student-athlete experience for all team members
